This is making me feel like watching Dogtown & Z Boys again.
I watched the Bone Brigade vid's for the first time in many years recently. I loved them at the time, but they haven't aged well. Should have left them in the memory bank, as all time epic awesomeness.

Yeah cheesy as. Worst still, there are so many old men who are buying thousands of different "releases" of reissues of Powell and SC boards. Hanging them on walls and thinking they have a sick collection. This however, was pretty epic:

I've still got my last Powell deck, from like 1999 I think. It still works though I'd be reluctant to attempt anything more complicated than rolling around with the nephews and nieces

Got out to check out the skateboarding for the finale at Belco Bowl this afternoon.
Cool to see international talent rocking up, Steven Pineiro.

Pink deck is a little shredder must've been 10-12ish and dropped into bowl, massive air and then rode out again. Cool event.

David came out and got some more shots of our event, Belco is a bit hectic for him but the other Dave got the shot below. Dude eventually nailed one higher than that.

Yeah he did go higher, towards the end after another few Coopers (popular beer amongst the crowd to go with the Mullets, and herbal glaucoma medication) and landed it. Was pretty cool to see, we were standing right where they launched up, this photo was taken as the 'Thong' had fallen off the fishing rod line and was being attached again to ensure the competition was 'legal' ;)
The whole culture is a 'vibe' in that moustaches, flat straight pants that are just above the ankles, horizontal or bland colours are in and retro styled shoes are back in, and drinking an 'older beer' such as VB, Coopers etc is the go. Big bulky pads on the outside of pants and the stack hats with the ear covers also made an appearance.
Even the film cameras, SLR and actually film had been rolled out.
