Social ride around Lysterfield

parking at Mahogany carpark
(see map below) Horswood Road entrance to Lysterfield Park . (Melway 108 D1)

meeting point will be now the Trailmix cafe 9.45-10am

Hopefully this will be a weekly ride, with weather permitting
(would suit riders with intermediate skills)

And by the way, I ride a silver/black Giant Trance ..

We might have about 5 or 6 this Sat, if Andrew and Lynda can make it.
I think we'll have to spend abit more time riding the new berms up at the Com tracks too. Just can't seem to get my line right still.
I need more practise that for sure!!!

Hey guys, I'm more then happy to come up, bar the fact getting there and back.

Would anyone be willing to haul me along with them, I have a nice bulky '02 Team DH Vps just to make it confusing for your bike rack.

I'm over in the Eastern Suburbs, Mitcham, 3132. I can meet you at a train station for convinience, Upwey probably being easiest.

I would love to head up but getting there without a lift is too hard.

Sunny. Light winds tending southeasterly up to 20 km/h during the afternoon.

Practice on the new beams sounds like a good idea, more speed may be the go..

great turnout 2day, 15 turned up for the ride..
weather was good and not too hot..
I hope everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves..
had one bent derailer/hanger and one little off..

I dont think that guy is Parks Vic.

And l dont understand why do we have to go out of our way when we have the same rights as others using the car park. Also the fact of parking in a more non-visable spot just puts our cars at risk of brake-ins.

I'll park where ever l want to park. First in best dress l say.

How about we park where ever we want and meet up at the cafe. This way we dont all park in the same carpark and annoy BBQ go-ers.

Social ride this week took us to Woodend...."Wombat Track"
We had 6 riders do the Loop trail (I think it was called)
fantastic track, very dry and dusty..

Forecast for Saturday
Morning cloud. Isolated showers in the morning. Winds southwesterly
averaging up to 35 km/h tending south to southeasterly up to
25 km/h later in the evening.

City Shower or two then windy. Min19 Max24

oh cool i might come down to this. i been riding for bout 2 months now. would i be able to keep up?? anyone know if there are social rides at the you yangs?

come on down and give this ride a go..
we had a small group from this Saturday ride go down to the You Yangs on Monday and a couple of weeks b4 we went to Woodend "Wombat State Forrest" trail, so we just don't ride Lysterfield only...:)

Sounds like you guys are having lots of fun. I've never been out to Lysterfield, so I'd love to come and have a ride.

Hopefully you keep it going as I'm still 7 weeks away from being back on the bike.
