QLD Sold

DMan

shawly the least hangeriest guy on rotorburn
Item: 2010 Marzocchi Bomber 55 TST2 air- White/ Black stanchions
Location: SE QLD
Condition: Good apart from not holding air....
Reason: I got a new smaller travel fork to try. I brought these like this on a hardtail from here. They don't hold air so I'm presuming they need a rebuild. The last time the bike was ridden, 6mths before I purchased it, they were fine. Might not be a big job, I don't know. I can't really give more info than that
Price: $100 freighted

2 questions my good man:
- steerer deets?
- are these the ata/travel adjust version?

No wait...3rd question, can I have a little more detail on the air issue please? Feel free to inbox me if you prefer.

About 205mm steerer?
As in adjustable travel? I don't think so.
Just won't hold air. I've changed the schrader valve as I was hoping it would just leaking from there but it still leaks. Really can't tell you more Poodle sorry. They were fine that last time the seller rode it 6 mths before I brought it. The lockout works fine. They're a spring with air top up aren't they? At the moment it's like they're fully open all the time.

If there is a coil, there shouldn't be a problem if the air assist isn't working...unless you need more resistance (like a firmer spring). Could be an internal valve or seal, could be a cartridge.

PM Wkkie. Sounds like what he's chasing.

I just rebuilt a 55 for a mate and had a bad experience... I think it was more to do with the condition of the fork though.

His are doing a similar thing and only holding air for a short time. And there's basically nothing in these forks so not sure exactly what the issue could be.

So.... With that I'll be giving these a miss. Even though they look like they're in great condition. Good luck with the sale!

Are they coil with air assist or just air wkkie? Recommended pressure is only 30-45 psi which is bugger all...

The ones I rebuilt are coil with the air preload. Yep and he puts around 35 PSI in which is about right sag wise for him, then not too long after it halves at least.

Looking to replace the exact fork you sold me, in the same condition...?
