spoke intersections

I was just wondering how many spoke intersections is on a typical dj/street rim. Oh yeah, 36 spokes as well.

I'd asssume by "normal" you mean whats called a "3 cross" spoke pattern. This means that every spoke crossed over or under 3 other spokes. So from that; 36x3=108 intersections. Is this what you meant?

yep, thanks, so the 3 cross is normal, is their any other stronger patterns?

A lot of BMX wheels use a 4 cross pattern with 48 spokes. A pain in the arse to build but super strong.

Apparently 4 cross doesn't really add that much stenght to a 32-36 spoke wheel and it's not really worth it. I asked if it was stronger and that was the consensus.
