Hi, just wondering if you can run a longer spring than recomended in your shock. Say a 3.25 in a 2.75 shock/stroke length. I would assume no, but it can't hurt to ask.

NO as you are dealing with different spring & stroke lengths.

i was able to run a 3" spring on my 2.75 dhx5, athough i had to compress it heaps so i could fit the collar on at the bottom, but i was still able to use trhe pre-load adjust as normal

Depending on poundage you might as a heavier pound spring is somewhat longer.

It probably won't fit though.
