Yep, got some klunker style bars with 45deg sweep for my wife's commuter.

I have an NS stem that I don't need, Pm if you want more deets...
I personally wouldn't do the shim thing, had too many of them shift under load like hard hits and jumping, but If it's for the wife it may be ok..depends how vigorous she rides her bike to work, huck off every drop?

also if worried about slippage/rotation you can use tiny bit of glue like liquid nails or thin layer of tape

I love wide 25.4 bars, they’re just hard to find in 750+. Less harsh on the arms.

How so? Flex, or something else? I'm actually considering putting them back on the hardtail, just because they look good (and no bastard will buy them) They're only 720 though.

Little more flex, feels like less vibration. Could be confirmation bias, but I always felt it compared to 31.6. No interest in 35.
