It is good to see this is finally happening. Looks like you have a lot of adjustment on the forks too, if you really want to lay back.
yeah its started, now have a left crank that will hold a pedal. went to the dump recycle centre and came across an old frame with truvativ cranks on it, fuck me its 175 same as the old one. Hang on I said to myself a win, 5 bucks later I am the proud owner of the frame. Off I go to the bikeshop and expect some bb mismatch but no perfect fit.
One is a hussefelt and one is a blaze but who cares I am up and running.
brake problem has been fixed with the addition of 2 rubberbands stopping the levers popping out all the time, they work but don't really inspire a feeling of safety, plans are for some of those helix brakes if they are even slightly usable. Got four sets of old shimano brakes that I thought I could use but unfortunately they all came off hardtails
the shock (dhx) seems to work and hold air so there is a bonus, thought that would be fucked for sure, nother win for me
the bike is the heavy as fuck, sure they melt lead into the frames, heaviest bike I can remember owning including the cove, even with the wheels off the thing weighs a ton and it doesn't seem to be coming from the front. be interesting to know what the frame alone weighs. Am hoping the frame turns into a prophet in the near future ( hint, sell me a dale frame, make an old man happy)
will post photo of the rubberbands soon ha
