I-SPEC | SHIMANO BIKE COMPONENT
It is supposed to go through the lever to mount ispec A and B (I think) but the XTR race levers (9000 series) dont have a hole... I have substituted normal screws for both the black and chrome screw.

‘A’ is completely different I reckon. It uses a hook.....but I could be completely wrong. To mount B to B, I’ve only ever used the 3 bits I pictured.I-SPEC | SHIMANO BIKE COMPONENT
