Sydney-Gosford Classic 10 April 2011

Sydney to the 'Gong is soft. So dig deep, no winging 'there are too many hills'. We're going to ride North through bike paths, back roads and the Lane Cove and Kuringai 'forests'.

This ride to be roughly 115km. There are some tricky bits to navigate at the beginning. Once we hit Bobbin Head Road, the navigation will be pretty simple. The bulk of the ride will follow the Old Pacific Highway.

This ride is absolutely 100% self-supported. I will post up a route, but you are responsible for getting yourself there, feeding yourself, and making sure your bike is working. The ride passes plenty of train stations as bail out options.

It is not a race. You are encouraged to demonstrate your bravery, toughness and gallant qualities in non-competitive and creative ways.

All bikes are welcome, but make sure you are prepared to ride more than 100km up and down hills. Kudos if you want to do it fixed. Style points for retro steel.

Carlin, can you give us a little more notice? Do it a few weeks later?

This does sound great, I would love to join the ride truly I would. But that is my mums birthday.

Sorry. This one is locked in (it's the same day as the Paris Roubaix, thus the northern theme).

If you are planning to come, and can't list yourself as attending on Facebook, just send me a pm or post in this thread.

Cheers,
