What are those things on the middle-left?

I think they are seat tube mounted gear ratio multiplers or dividers. A fine new idea that apparently was in fashion once, but I'm not too sure.
Relics of a bygone era, probably worth megabucks now because no-one makes them anymore. In fact they're probably due for a resurgence, 29ers came back

@Plankosaurus I thought a picture was the easiest way to explain what I need.
Is there anything in the pile of relics from a bygone era that would work better than my current setup below, it's not shifting too well, the seat tube is 34.9 under the wrap.
Hopefully the price has not gone up too much since last time.

I reckon I'll have a dusty old antique here that'll move some chain across for you. I'll check in the morning, too busy being comfortable at the moment

No rush, thanks very much I think there's a problem with clamp on the one I've got.

Still have a pile of junk that's possibly still useful to someone, added some new stuff too. All freebies

(White Avanti frame is spoken for, the other 3 still up for grabs.)

Almost forgot these dtswiss wheels too

I'm keeping the tyres for school bikes, but the rest is up for grabs. Front is ok, qr with 200mm cl rotor. Rear is toast (rim cracked internally, pawls worn in hub), qr with 160mm cl rotor.

You can buy aftermarket clamps for directmount, those chainrings look screwed too.

Only if ridden five times ever and just serviced, maybe if you throw in a random spare tube you could be on a winner.
Free 3 pack of condoms with every sale. Pack may not still contain all 3 condoms. Wear your helmet!

Direct mount, yeah I know but when @Plankosaurus is trying to get rid of stuff i feel obligated to help him!

Chainrings, yes I would probably agree with you on that but they are what I have at the moment and the cassette and chain seem to be in better nick. I guess it's the peril of buying used stuff, I'm sure I'll be able to pick up something better as I go.

I was still keen on the x9 front shifter and the XT front derailleur once Dan lets me out and I can pickup.

Everything is worn out and mismatched then you'll wonder why it never shifted properly.

@Plankosaurus Are any of the other frames small sizes?

I was visiting family the other day and noticed my nephew is riding something that can't even be called a BSO

The black one is an xs Jamis, it's pretty tiny. the two others are DJ frame so not huge, but not eggzachary small either.
