Lastly, social and political polarisation sucks.
So fun story, I met a legitimate red piller on the weekend at a social gathering. Like a properly radicalised The-Jews-are-responsible-for-literally-everything (did you know the Rothschilds started WW1? I didn't). Wasn't an anti-vaxxer (weirdly) but subscribed to everything else.

Anyway, rather than wandering off and getting another beer I thought I'd try to embrace the "opportunity" and try and learn something about how that side works or thinks or whatever. Was easy to debunk the Putin fanboyism given I know a little bit about the war and Russia's paper tiger military. Ditto everything Trump although it was fun to learn that all those bankruptcies were actually just gigachad 5D chess "gaming the tax system" and not say, rank incompetence. Also interesting that he didn't view China / the CCP as a threat at all but did make the point that if we're so concerned about a potentially hostile Trump Presidency why aren't we doing anything about all the US ownership of Australian assets and land? I didn't have an answer for that. Oh but then Albanese rigged the last election because he didn't know anyone who voted for him "apart from all you socialists in Victoria." I liked that one. Oh also Albanese is setting up a dictatorship.

Where things got murkier was diving into financial stuff (where I don't really know anything) and that was where a lot of the stuff he was saying made a bit of sense, admittedly to an audience that knew very little about financial or taxation regulation and loopholes.

What's the point of all this? Well apart from challenging your opinions is fun, I guess it was slightly unnerving how much the stuff he was saying made sense when my knowledge on that subject was non-existent. Anyway, I'm off to game the system like a true sigma, colour suggestions for my Lamborghini are welcome.

Most effective conspiracy theories and disinformation has an element of truth and aims itself at those who have little existing knowledge on the issue. That’s how you rabbit hole then red pill people- particularly those who have prepositioned themselves to believe particular narratives (anti-gov, hidden elite, anti-Jew, etc).

We have a local government by-election coming up. One independent who stood in the federal election has thrown their hat in the ring. Comments on the local shitbook page range from right wing teal to dangerous leftie. And then the complaints they are only doing it for the free $.

Albo can't even co-ordinate his shirt choice, I think we are safe from a dictatorship

Will Australians be investigated for celebrating Putins death? Trumps death? Bin ladens death? Various paedophiles deaths?

Hmm, can you celebrate the death of an arsehole, while denonuncing the way in which it happened?
I think It is less of that and more of public service code of conduct thing where you need to be seen as adhering to the PS values and code of conduct.
Huge grey area, but a bad look to have police looking like they are celebrating a crime and that crime is in the media spotlight.
Social media is blurring these lines more and more between you as an individual and your PS role. The media politics over the top seems to set the standards these days if it is looked into or not.
