Nah that is fake news, he got booted because he was kicking their a55 on the field. Their fragile narcissist egos cant take it that they were not winning.

On a serious note what the hell. Something very dodgy going on there from Albo and his government that was going to champion transparency.

I think 'transparency' in politics refers to knowing what the opposing side is doing, then complaining when the opposing side wants to know the same about what you are doing. Those big kids and their shady rulez.

What would you expect from "Upgrade" Albo??

Sigh, I won't hold my breath. Fully expecting another 2.5 years of tinkering around the edges followed by surprised pikachu face from the ALP when they receive big swings away from them next election to the Greens / minor parties. Won't really matter though as they'll still retain power easily.

I'm a big believer in facing the consequences of your actions. Surely if you encourage Australians to vote for shithouse internet you should wait your turn for it to be un-fucked-up.

This sort of thing has gone on for a long time. They all do it. There are customers and there are also 'special customers'.

Albanese/Labor shouldn't be negotiating with the gambling industry, IMO - just ban the fucking gambling ads. Accept ad bans, or fuck off.

Obviously the tax revenue from the gambling industry has a corrosive effect on good governance of this Country.
From what I know, which is SFA, it’s the media companies and sporting codes that are pressuring the govt on this issue.

The social harms gambling does and the BS put forward by those who benefit from it sucks. F all that n

would uber have taken off it taxis didnt offer such an awful service? yet every uber booking in nsw pays a fee to compensate taxi plate owners.

the way gambling has exploded in the last 10 years tells you all the major industry players have a huge stake, but equally they got by just fine before. failure to keep up in an online world isnt you being targeted by this particular ban

The whole online age verification issue is a very convenient smokescreen to blur just how fast albo backflipped when his sponsors called.

..And remembering that the gambling industry also funnels money to the LNP, and indeed anyone who will further their agenda.
