Keel backs are inquisitive. If we were swimming or floating in the unfenced dam on a rural property (just getting it out there) they would swim up and try and get on you.

How did we? Ah yes canetoads. Back on topic.

Morrison's Spirit Animal is definitely the snake.

Shortens'?... Yeah, cane toad.

Pauline Hanson?
Sulphur crested Cockatoo?
Goanna?

Barnaby Joyce?
A rat?
A bush tick?
A worm?

Clive Palmer?
As yet unidentified species...

The third will leave it to disappear to where it came from. I do.

We’ve had a 1.5m red belly and a small eastern brown in our courtyard. They just end up leaving.
If there's a food source around you'll always have snakes, even though you might not see them they'll be hiding.

Damn, between your next door junky supplier and those window lickers at work your life is shit.
And my job had most of the joy (what little we’d managed to hang onto after six years...) sucked out of it since last weekend... The mood around any workplace that involves environmental work is dire to say the least at present.

Still wallowing a bit, it’s going to take some time to rustle up some positivity from this one. Very much a mood of defeat though...
