70k was for the 6 riders.

if slopestyle gets 20 riders it might be looking more towards 500 grand, per round, maybe closer to 750?

so like what 2 million or thereabouts for a 4 round season ?

for Cairns:
"Invite only based on qualification through the FMBA rules and regulations.
FMBA Qualified. Total of 14 male riders + men alternates, and 6 female riders "

I feel like the riders don’t have a good read of the room, have a look at the bike industry as a whole - it’s in real trouble. But steep calling out for cash when there isn’t cash around.

That’s definitely a fair point. I do think the riders have a point and even though it’s come to a head now, if you watch any of the riders that have done videos on it, it’s been something that has been a while coming. As you rightly point out the bike industry is hurting pretty bad right now so it’s hard to see a way out of the current stalemate.

Whilst I have massive respect for the riders, and what they do, they really have backed themselves into a corner. The options would be:-

1. Live with what you have, or

2. Breakaway and start their own series.

The peak of slope style is crankworx whistler, how could you replicate that? I can’t see how.

I can. Red Bull. They support crankworx but could easily take it over. And expand it. But you are not wrong. They are in a corner so it will be interesting to see how it goes. I just hope everyone comes together and we see them hit Cairns.
