not much activity, so i thought id share this (credit for the find goes to christian)

so keen to ride this these holidays! me and one other guy may be adding some trannies for some of the bigger stuff so you dont die, but it has so much potential. seems like a good spot for filming or taking photos as not many people go there

apparently theres some cool wallrides and stuff behind where the camera is. will definitely take some pics/vids when i go down there.
Looks like it's out of halo or something! But I'd be down to check it out!

yeah i may wait for my fork to get here before i go (ended up buying the 07 float rl. stoked!), apparently the banks are really steep so its a bit of a jolt coming back down. just need to get my hands on some fox travel spacers and im good to go!

I've got concrete laying around at home so fixing it up soon. I just need to work out how to get onto this 180 wallride, i'm thinking either concrete tranny onto it or make a kicker. Need to also take down a shovel and broom as there is alot of sand laying around there.

yeah ill take a look at it when i go down and see if its ridable as is. curved wallrides are hard to get right so i think a dirt lip will work the best as we can change it easily

16mm conduit cut to length with a cut go along the length works sweet.

Hey guys, I just ordered a NS capital 26. My first Dj bike, I used to ride fgfs bikes. I live in Sydney and i'm hoping to meet some people to ride with once it's done being built!

fixed gear freestyle? Well, welcome to the hardtail riding thread, g-fish is the Sydney city street guy around here.
that'd be me. I wouldn't say i was THE guy though. There are many others, including the modest fellow above.

Give us a shout if you need any advice on the bike or need any parts, i'm sure someone can sort you out. Knowing a few guys that have dabbled in fgfs, you've made the right choice. Looking forward to seeing the bike & maybe riding together.

Haha yes, fixed gear free stlyle. I'm actually from America, i've been here since april. Fgfs is really popular there right now but seems non-existent here. I've always wanted a dj bike but I never jumped on it till now. I guess living in Epping with tons of hills on a fixed gear isn't too fun and pushed me to get coasting. I'm actually looking for a place to get some spokes, if anyone knows a place that might have a variety of sizes and doesn't charge too much? Oh and thanks for the warm welcomes guys.

to get the wheel laced, hell on wheels up in newtown is the cheapest ive found and the staff are super friendly. theyre a bmx shop so they dont stock spokes long enough for a 26" wheel but theres a bike shop down the road that has reasonable pricing on spokes. theyre right by the train station too so if your catching public transport its really easy to get to.

I've been to Hell on Wheels, pretty rad place and nice guys. I worked at a shop in Woolloomooloo but they overcharge to the max.. I guess when I get more money i'll just call around. Also what are some good all around tyres that's under 2.2? I'll be riding street the most but I would like to ride some dirt and not slide out.

maxxis dth is pretty much ideal for that. i used to run them front and rear and they were really nice on dirt, but fast rolling on concrete as well. the higher pressure rating is also nice too.

Awesome thanks for the advice. I see you're from Pymble singlespeedfreeride, not to far from me, are there any good places around here to ride that's not a skatepark? Is the city probably the best place?

not much street up here, city is where its at for street. theres some legal dirt jumps up in castle cove which cater to pretty much all skill levels so check those out if thats your thing. i usually ride chatswood, theres some street there but not much. i usually just ride the park.

You worked at a shop and they won't give you discouts in woolloomoloo.. sounds like Sable and Argent. The main reason fgfs hasn't taken off here is because the only shops that get involved are tarted up clothes stores that are more interested in money grabbing off mochiatto drinking hipsters than actually adding anything to the scene.

Rohan works at manly cycles, theyre a quality shop. Not much in the way of specialist street mtb stores though. TBSM is a very good shop, but pretty far away from if you just want spokes. Just make good relations with your local bike shop, they should end up giving you good deals.

Hahaha yes it was Sable and Argent, definitely the least bike shop that's a bike shop. The mechanic is super awesome though. I do need to make some better relations at the local shops. I haven't really needed much or i'm just too broke to afford anything, should just go in and browse and make small talk at the least. I walked by Manly Cycles but I didn't go in, I should. Next time i'm in Manly I shall. Thanks for the tips g-fish.

Anyone keen on a new bike? I haven't ridden in ages and I need the money for travel. It's definitely not the last you'll see of me though :p I'm already planning a build for when I get home.

Might consider splitting for some of the bigger parts/a few parts.

Links are in my sig.

only time i can ride during the week is on friday arvo and weekends, but im always down for a ride.

also: pics please! im considering getting a cap 26 so if you can let us know how it rides that would be appreciated.
