The "I will ride _____km in 2025" thread - commit and conquer here!!

I am a child at times...... Not on a fancy subscription so couldn't (be bothered) figuring elevation, but assume it's not a lot :D

I should be on track for 2000kms for the year.
*On an analogue bike without counting the exercise bike.

Poking the bear
Do the Ebike crew need to halve their Strava Kms to show 'true values' :p
Could seperate it further and just count actual bike riding in wind, rain and sun. Does a virtual bike count? If a virtual pedal turns in the Forrest does anybody hear it? :p Ok. Poking the bear as well. Now. Where has that hiding behind the couch emoji gone to?

What about other trail networks? Or only Forrest is counted?

There was some dude at work counting roadie cadence for Steptember.... So maybe not? :p

Halfway point of the year, 2167 by bike so far. 1040km on ebike, so have done slightly more on a normal bike, either MTB, gravel or trainer.

More so dry Jun-ly, 3 weeks alcohol free so far, 4 weeks to go, my aim was to draw a dot every day of dry Jun-ly, some days there's a Zwift/ride and a run/jog/disc golf activity in there, 7 of the days are doubled up and 510km by bike in June alone.

I'm a bit addicted to this disc golf in the NP next to me, a way more exciting way to walk the woofy 5km.

Should get 5000km by bike by the end of the year.

Everyone is smashing it, well done!

I missed the first month due to some back niggles which are well under control for the moment. Been hitting the bikes pretty hard and now probably the fittest I've been since 2018.

Even with the slow start I'm now well over the half way point to my goal of 250hrs.

My wheels have well and truly fallen off.

Recurring back/neurological issues, mixed with (avoidable) time constraints and general apathy have me stuck in the doldrums with a flaccid mainsail.

Hoping the trade winds come through soon and I'll be fanging it out on trapeze.

Hooly Doooly - that’s still a bloody awesome effort . Hoist your um. Err. Mainsail and carry on.

Winter riding pace has dropped a bit but should be able to pick it up with warmer weather and longer days.
Might just double 2023 where I managed 3700km/55800m, should at least double 2022 which was 3200km/43700m

Still averaging over 100km a week:

This sums up my riding right now. Been the same all year.

I've had to raise the white flag. To train means getting up at stupid o'clock. Which means I'm not on farm early enough to get what work needs done, or earning the money we need right now to get out of the awkward cash flow situation my house is in. Plus, if I'm not getting shit done, then a new technician will need to be hired, which reduces how much I can earn, which puts us in a deeper hole.

And I've just found out I've been demoted to B Grade.

AND Mrs George is suggesting I get an eeeb.

Tis not the Season of George right now.

Well, I still think you're the shizz. Surely that counts for something.

Thank you my friend.

It doesn't mean I won't ride. And I still get to ride in some pretty cool places. Although @dirtart is trying pretty hard to stop that too.

It also means the objectives of Dirty Weekend/Melrose shift from trying to do well (for a flatlander) to just making it to the end.
