The "I will ride _____km in 2025" thread - commit and conquer here!!

On track for my best year since 2017. May even end up best year ever.
Goal is 250hrs. Anything more becomes personal best.

Would like to also crack the 100,000m mark for the first time, but might be a struggle unless I focus on elevation rides.

Well time to crack a few beers and sit on my backside for the rest of the year!
250h goal done 🤙

100,000m seems achievable, so that's next challenge.

That's some serious vert!

I'd like to crack 10,000km but not sure if that's going to be possible, and 100k vert might be a tall order as well.

With the next few weekends, I'm pretty booked out as I have an XC race this weekend but it's only 25km. A gravity Enduro the following so that won't be big km, then a Wild Mersey XC race that will again be nothing massive. Then a 4 day Derby 40th birthday trip so maybe some bigish days there. The Iron Torathon event on the 7th of Dec, so that will be slow but will be some decent vert and km and finally our club Christmas ride which again won't be massive.
The weather has been pretty good so that's more commuting km, so we'll see. I've been following the Tassie Gift bike packing race and the distance those riders have been doing is nuts, especially considering the terrain they have been riding. Certainly, no walk in the park.

I thought I might get to 10,000km but I don't that's going to be possible now. Still, 100,000m elevation is within reach.

The state XC champs that I couldn't make got cancelled due to bad weather and is now rescheduled for February, so if I can work on increasing my fitness over Christmas/New Year, I might give that a good crack. Plus, there's the Tas Gravity rounds early in the year, and I have a few big adventure rides I want to do, so heaps of motivation to keep the ride volume up.

Going well you lot 😍

2024 has been a bit sad for me, way down on 2023 even, wont change much by the end of 2024 either.

Haven't ridden for 6 weeks due to the ruptured tendon, though will see what the arm therapist says on Friday, might get a bit more freedom but I'm doing as advised as I cant risk a re-tear so being very cautious. Feeling like a 1 handed smart trainer ride isn't far off.

Did manage 460km by foot, either dog jog/walk or disc golf.

Onwards and upwards for 2025 😃😕😞 hopefully.

Bloody injuries suck. Especially soft tissue stuff.

Bloody bugger those tendon and ligament injuries. They take a long time to heal. Better year next year @ozzybmx !

Cheers guys, I am at 6 weeks of recovery tomorrow so things are about to get better when I see the therapist on Friday.

I'll definitely have some weight work to do as my little 'crab arm' as I have been calling it has lost a load of muscle 🤣
