Bullets of Justice- a seriously bad sci-fi coproduction from Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. Most of the movie is in English and I'm not sure the characters know what they are saying. It was so crap I sat glued to my seat and had to watch it to the end.
Spontaneous- I was actually expecting another B grader but got totally surprised by the acting and script.

You’re going to want to watch “Olympus Has Fallen” and the vastly shittier sequel “London Has Fallen”... the chopper crash in the latter is a steaming turd on CGI.
I took a chance on Mosul (Netflix) on the weekend - a fairly graphic account of the latter stages of the war against Isis in Iraq, based on some factual events. It’s in Arabic, although it’s the visuals of the completely destroyed city that capture the brutality of it all more than the dialog.

Was that any good? Interesting premise but I was starting to lose interest through the trailer which might not be a good sign.
Also watched Mosul. Really innovative take on your standard modern war movie. I liked it a lot.

Yeah the whole anti-semitic thing is not ideal. If you can manage to block that out he can still turn in stellar performances - he was f***ing awesome as the completely amoral baddie in Expendables 3, made it the best movie in the series imo. Haven't seen it...or any of the Expendables TBH. Can't see past the off camera stuff unfortunately. I would really like to have watched the torture porn Passion movie, but alas. Happens to so many...not sure if its the money and fame going to their heads, or it was always there, and now they just get emboldened or a platform to express it.

I suspect that latter. My (solo) claim to fame was actually briefly going to school and being friends with one of his kids (Edward). Never made the connection re surname, but he was really nice, grounded etc. and was into Micro Machines and Lego so clearly Dad was doing something right.
Passion for the Christ would be bottom of the list given Gibson's private enthusiasms - I can imagine the plot being selfless pioneer Christian being brutally destroyed by evil Judaism. Yeah nah.
