The last movie you've last watched last

Doesn't surprise me, Predator movies have always been a very mixed bag. Discuss; using diagrams where appropriate:

Predator 1: Amazing, obviously
Predator 2: kinda shit? Apart from the bit where Bill Paxton dies that was creepy af
AVP 1: surprisingly good
AVP Requiem: absolute shit, like possibly deliberately so
Predators: I liked it but I may have been the only one who did
The Predator: haven't seen it (for many, many good reasons apparently)
Prey: surprisingly good

I reckon 2 was great, that still had that Predator feel. I agree, Requiem was meh. I actually think the Predator could have done without the Alien link altogether and blazed it's own path. It certainly makes both franchises look fucking retarded in Badlands.

P2 was alright, just suffered from expectations following the original. I actually liked AV2 more than AV1…. Predators was decent I thought; The Predator not so much. Prey was great - was hoping they’d follow on from that rather than pivoting to Badlands.

What a fucking horrible disaster it is. I hate being the guy that talks about a movie the day it comes out to potentially spoil stuff you other people but it was a movie I nearly walked out of. It's far too comical, I get the intention is to tell a story from the Predator side of things but there is way too much of the character involved meaning it loses that stealth element. It's another one of those movies that tells a horrendously shit story that rides on the coat tails of something good. It almost feels like some kid wrote a year 9 assignment for a movie then someone that knows his Dad who works at a movie production place that owes that guy a favor suggested they put it in the Predator franchise. It is absolutely fucking shit. Don't spend your money on it. Watch an SBS porno instead.

Thanks for the warning. Prey was great but most other ones, particularly without Arnie, have to try pretty hard.

Movie 'franchises' overall seem to create more disappointment the longer they drag on. They really need to kill off all of the main characters at the end of just to have it go out on high. Worked for Rogue One. These are made by the same folks that are also terrified about AI taking their jobs while they churn out rehashed rubbish in bulk.

SBS P0rn0 FTW !! ' Ohhh, Jacques...........show me that are you are more man that Yves, Gil and even Laurent...........' beats most Predator dialogue outside of 'If it bleeds, we can kill it' 🔫

Watched Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift. 🤣
I have watched amateur pornos with superior dialogue and plot.

The only worthwhile scene is the first car meet, with all the hot women shimmying all over the place, the camera zooming in to their barely covered arses with a straight-up perve vibe. This is then ruined, by a central character letting the (complete random newcomer) painfully white protagonist proceed to wreck a nice JDM hotted up car. It further stretches, then snaps the woeful rubber band of 'credibility' when said painfully white protagonist doesn't get the shit beaten out of him and converted into a stain on the concrete floor.

So right and wrong all at the same time 😜

Predator 2 is underrated. Nailed the vibe of the first in a totally different setting and without copying every single element.
Both AVPs ultimately sucked but could have been good. I've largely forgotten them.
Predators - I thought was great, minus Laurence Fishburne. His character, or maybe the performance, just terrible. They also could have easily done a sequel that I would have likely enjoyed.
The Predator - WTF was this giant pile of fkn horseshit. I hate it with a passion.
Prey - Incredible, easily in the top 3 of the franchise. Shame it seems old mate hasn't been able to back up with Badlands, but I was pretty suspect on the premise.

I've watched the first three episodes of Pluribus now and it's entertaining me. Old fashioned, high concept sci-fi with dark humour and zero predictability. Probably not for lovers of Predator movies.

Yeah that's on the list - although I'd watch paint dry if Vince Gilligan was involved so that's not saying much.

Up to season 3 of Slow Horses. 1 and 2 were original takes on existing themes but 3 is just mental, love it.

I've enjoyed the first 2 episodes. Interested to see how they make multiple series out of it

started malice on prime. duchovny seems to be settling into sleazeball roles, but jake whitehall as a dark character is a bit different.

The local independent cinema did Two Flavours Cornetto (Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) for their Monday Double the other week. It had been a little while since my last viewings, I'd almost forgotten how much I love Hot Fuzz. I've seen it a double-digit number of times and I still picked up some new details.

Hot Fuzz is awesome. So much detail.

I watched A House of Dynamite - interesting premise and it starts out strong, but runs out of puff by the 3rd Act where they really needed to introduce something new or change up the perspective more. Well acted though
