Not sure, although I did love Black Sheep. NZ seems to have a monopoly on the wacko shlock stuff I love so much recently. Previously mentioned Deathgasm is another perfect example.

Second that, the kid in me will never die.

On manga topic, ghost in the shell, fist of the north star and ninja scroll are making my other (old) favorites. Not seen many recent manga, any good recommendation?

Latest James Bond - Spectre. Twas good, met expectations.
Finally got off my arse to see this last night.

Disappointing. It just felt like they couldn't really be bothered. Given the build up in the previous movies there was a real "ant under the microscope" feel brewing, where Bond and various allies were trying to unravel a megalith that was as ruthless as it was untouchable. Spectre just felt like an unconvincing last chapter out-of-time-and-ideas wrap up of a great book..

I've seen:

Bridge of Spies - Actually quite a decent film, you know what's gonna happen by about halfway or so but it's still quite good with the twists and turns IMO. Acting is all really well done.

Spectre - I enjoyed it, but I'm a sucker for Bond films and I tend to view them as individuals (that's just me though). Most people's gripes seem to be with the storyline, and that's fine. I just love the Bond experience with cool tech and a spy that doesn't give a shit. A bit so so, I liked Casino Royale & Skyfall better I think.

The Dressmaker - I got dragged along to this by my parents, somewhat begrudgingly (haven't seen them in quite a few months) but man it actually turned out to be quite a good film. It's got that whole 'Aussie actor syndrome' thing which is hard to throw I'll admit, but the movie sort of embraced it a bit and had some classic Aussie (and dark) humour in all the right spots. It was actually a bit of a roller coaster, with highs then lows and big old u-turns. A decent plot, provided you don't take it too seriously but at the same time some of the scenes demand real seriousness so it's a bit strange in that sense. I'd actually recommend, it's one of those ones that you'd get dragged to with your missus (or oldies in my case - I was the youngest in there by about 30 years) but end up coming out of thinking it was actually fairly good.

To be fair you know what happens if you read the basic synopsis for the film. It is based on a fairly well known historical event...

Top movie though. That Spielberg bloke can really do a good movie when he puts his mind to it. I think he'll go far!

The 5th wave started out life as a piece of shit that they rolled in glitter then someone did a shit on top of that shit and then they threw it at the screen and voila, you have the 5th wave.

In case you didn't catch on its shit. Find a better use for your money. That would include sitting at your desk and lighting it on fire.
