The QUICK question thread.....

Getting the rim under as well? I use the pool and go as far as the hub. When it's leaking to the rim it can be hit an miss where the bubbles will show up
I did sink it pretty low but I tried to avoid the rotor and hub. Time to loosen those rotor bolts!

Is anyone familiar with Globa Rescue? Looking at travel insurance information and these folks are bombarding me with adverts. Web site gives me the vibe it is designed more for people holidaying in unstable places...

Looking to buy some spokes as I seem to be having an issue with them snapping at the J bend on the rear only, just wondering if anyone has brought from Velocity? Looking at getting these and getting my mate to replace them all for me.

Sometimes OEM stainless spokes are prone to doing that, I had to rebuild quite a few wheels on certain Shogun models sold by the shop I worked in, warranty repairs the distributor got billed for. Had it happen on my 2019 Fuel EX with the brake side of the rear wheel in the set of spokes loaded by braking. I just replaced that set of spokes and no more broken spokes from then on.

Back tyre keeps deflating overnight. Fresh sealant, no sidewall seepage, valve nut tightened, rotor bolts tightened. No discernable bubbles when held underwater. What can I do that doesn't involve buying a new bike or @pink poodle's Saint cranks?
Retape the rim. The valve nut has never worked to stop leaking air on its own, for me . Do the soapy water test on the base of the valve first to see if that's the issue. I like to test the air tightness of the wheel by fitting the tyre with no sealant, pump it up to 50 psi leave it overnight and check the pressure in the morning. If it doesn't lose.pressure sans sealant I call it good and chuck some sealant in by opening the bead. Never via the valve, it's too slow and I hate it when the valve gets çlogged

Ok, quick question car related.
The last 3 times I have had my car serviced or had tyres replaced I find tyre pressure is up to the 40psi mark, manual for car says 30ish psi.
Is there any reason for this over inflation or are all the shops I go to duds.

Thanks

I'm guessing albos inflation has nothing to do with it

You go to duds, just like your sources for information on economics.
