You could buy an early Evo for less. 12k straight conversion, plus import, tax, markup ...... :eek:

That’s awesome , I was 12 yrs old in 1980 and mtb was “not a thing “ but we rode our bikes in the Bush - the Kool kids has BMX - I had a fold up girls bike .........

I was 11 and had a dragster with dual clamp style rigid forks. It weighed a lot.

I found a book at the op shop called Fat Tyre that covers the birth of MTB, all the rad klunkers. Super cool.

I was born in 89 so was too young for the real cool 90s shit but 90-96 is stuck a cool period of bikes.
