Trek session 8 frame

Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the 2010 session 8 frame and the session 88 frame in terms of weight, geometry and pivot bearings?

It's exactly the same frame. Only the spec list changes. Shock is the only difference on a frame only option.

yep, identical to the 88 aside from paint.

as above, same except the rear shock and paint. Great bike too!!

2010 88 & 8 frames are the same. 2011 they are different, 8 is the same as 2010 and the 88 is a new frame
