Trump..... (The Sophistry Thread)

I'm certainly enjoying every moment of USA #1, rapidly coming unglued. They certainly are no longer the self proclaimed greatest country in the world and the curtain has well and truly been pulled back on who they are as a culture and people
Don't be too smug, the ramifications of having a "leader" openly endorsing behaving like a total asshole will be felt everywhere (including here - the number of closet RWNJs that have come out of the woodwork on social media the last few years has been surprising, but it has provided a nice counterpoint to the SJWs so... balance I guess).

The words spoken by Dr Fauci during a speech at Georgetown University just 9 days before Trumps inauguration in 2017 ?

Big Pharma has a vaccine for a brand new virus in the same year it's identified/released.. (The human race isn't that great/advanced)

Perhaps the pharma companies started working on the vaccine years ago, they knew what they were developing a vaccine for ?

Vaccine development, clinical trials, FDA Approval normally take many many years.

Recount confirms Biden's win in Georgia*

*until Trump launches fatuous lawsuit number 522 alleging the results are invalid because someone saw a dog voting or something.

Oh god, you watched Plandemic? Please tell me you followed it with the information dismissing EVERY claim, and pointing out the protagonist was a bitter crackpot. Start with the wikipedia page, if nothing else.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plandemic

I tried to follow it up by watching the second installment, but couldn't even ironically complete it. I don't think I've ever heard more BS, and I talk to @Zaf

Like the individual right of a woman to have control over her reproductive system?
Or the indivual right to express an opinion without fear of persecution or censorship from ones Gov't?
Or that you can stand trial with a jury of your peers and that law enforcement can't unreasonably seize or search you?
I don't think we really differ on any of these points. But you also casually just dropped 'socialist' approaches into the conversation and I find it odd that that's completely acceptable. Socialism works well at a community level, where there are immediate social impacts on an individual who goes against the community ethos, but at a federal level it is the single most destructive and restrictive form of governance the world has ever seen...and that's before you even count the war casualties because of it.
But gotta stop them fascists, they're the real bad guys.
So, do you think that because I have dropped the term socialism into the conversation that I feel that we should be the next reincarnation of the Soviet Union? Interesting, perhaps that is why I had put the term in quotation marks as in the modern day world there are many things that are referred to as socialist, but in no way mean that you blindly follow the ideals of Marx and Engels. For example universal health care, welfare, pensions, public education and public transport are all federal polices/ programmes that are unashamedly socialist in leaning.

Now since your original question was, what do you think my political opinions are and why, then I would say my response is based on your self confessed support for an individual's right to bear arms, and also because whilst you haven't outwardly stated your support for the GOP and by extension their dear orange leader, I don't recall you openly condemning much of their behaviour on here either. Happy to stand corrected though.
