Geez I hope Labour is paying attention and actually learning this time. I doubt they are. That article has the usual basis in kernels of truth - it is true that people are feeling way less off than they were.

It is up to labour to tell them that this is because of a bunch of real reasons, and not all of them are in control of any one country let alone one government, and that any successive government does not have any other tools at hand that can make things any better. Convince the great unwashed that they have their back. And ffs get on the Joe Rogans of Australia and connect with the masses promising genuine change and stop buying clifftop mansions ffs....

The problem with Labor is they just want some consensus.... but they don't agree on what that is. Or understand that that's not how the world works. Compromise. The other C word.

Of course, there's another C word. Climate. And it no longer gives a fuck about who it wants to fight.
