Sounds like what I hear from a lot of people that complain about paying taxes but fail to understand that without them everything the government does, wouldn't happen. You need to find a market like the Footscray one to buy your deadstuff, if you buy it by the 20 tonne container straight from the packing plant you can get even bigger bargains.

Absolutely, loads of bots and people paid a basic wage to spam message boards and twitter conversations etc. If you think about it, just one person paid to do it can generate an outsize amount of noise vs someone casually browsing a news site on their lunch break. The organisations behind this stuff have deep pockets, but this kind of influencing isn't expensive.

It's quite an effective strategy to drain people of energy they could use having a real conversation with an undecided person about politics etc - they want to get you outraged and wasting your time responding.

It's a dirty business.
