In our little town on a different highway, diesel at the Shell last Thursday was $2.04. By Monday (yesterday), it was $2.43. Today (Tuesday) it was $2.29. How's that for a gouge?

Well, at least it's not the local Ampol. Thursday? $2.02. Monday? $2.41 Today? $2.55.

Just for completeness, the local depot is Liberty branded. Thursday $1.90. Monday $2.00. Today $2.25 and I know they were resupplied Monday lunchtime.

• AFR will produce 50 billion gallons of refined products — a value of $175 billion
• The U.S. trade imbalance will improve by $300 billion

ahh, so the deal is not $300 billion... but the refinery will make $175 billion worth of product (after buying $125 billion raws = $50bil value add)

America First Refining received a 9-figure investment from a global supermajor at a 10-figure valuation.
