After the demise of my trail pistol it was new bike time. Nothing was in stock so I got a Bird Aether 9C.
Looks pretty good on paper, I suppose we will see. I just need a dropper post and lever, but as usual stock is an issue. On the plus side I did find some one up bars, but had to be touched inappropriatly in the wallet by Summit.

It will ship mid week, so perhaps end of next week I'll be able to ride it.
It needs a 37mm ID seat post clamp, if anyone has any leads on a silver one let me know.

Psyched to see this come together.

36.4 seat clamp in platinum is in stock.

Down on the left!
You mean 34.9 clamp right? That’s a thick wall seat tube if not. I’ve got a new in packet polished Wolftooth in 34.9 I don’t think I’ll be using.

Mind reader, that's exactly what I have purchased. I got another One-Up post in 210mm, hard to go past at the price and there's not many alternatives.
Also I'm holding you personally responsible if the Bird is NFG
I was comparing it to my Norco on BikeInsights and there's fuck all difference. Maybe I should have painted it green and got a longer stem!

Christ, I hope you don't fan the flames like that idiot did!
Surely you learnt your lesson and decided to buy a bike that was manufactured within your covid radius with materials from within 3°of your latitude and longitude. You can't expect a manufacturer to support you if you don't.

In all seriousness I wouldn't really call myself a fanboy. I'm just a happy customer that thinks they could be a bit more visible in Australia as their bikes are awesome with good support and fair prices.

All the shock money has gone into dials to fiddle with
I guess those small cnc'd dials are suuuuper expensive. We are paying for the privilege of not having to use hex keys to make adjustments, like the olden days of CCDB shocks.
