I watched Hooper as a kid (prolly 100 times in a couple of years) before any of the Smokey movies. Much preferred it then, and kinda scared to watch it now after 30 years break.
Deliverance stands the test of time, 100%.

I watched it again a couple of years ago. I shouldn’t have. Still fun, but childhood memories should be preserved.
I will always remember the scene, where he's getting the money to buy his car.
"I'll need a fast car.
OK here's a wad of cash.
It'll need to be faster than that.
More cash.
Faster.
More cash.
Faster.
More cash.
Ok then."

Fun movie.

Today Radio stations should be feature non-stop blocks of east bound and down, Duelling banjos and the Cannonball run theme in tribute.

Burt's movies brought me many laughs throughout my childhood. He pretty much movies a must see for a while. Looked like he had a lot of fun too.

When you see outtakes, he was clearly having a ball, a good sport, and kind of a fuck up in a good way.
