Been on a stoner rock binge for too long, time to mix it up abit.
Anyone rate the new mogwai album? Lil’ siss bought me the vinyl for my bday and I’m yet to give it a whirl. Waiting for it to be past middday before I crack a bottle, turn off the lights, shut some blinds and and indulge.

Quick dinner break...hit up nearby Indian. They are blasting the jams! Well their TV is playing Indian gansta rap style video clips. Deep in the hood. Main rapper is rocking a big gold chain + turban style head dress while making crip/blood style hand symbols. Beats are pretty phat.

Ah good, I’m not wasting my time then. Amazing band, but some of the gigs I’ve been to weren’t all that, just trading on the name and chargin a mint.
Not that this was an expensive gig, $50odd so not bad at all imo.

One of my favourite bands ever is V Spy V Spy, in my not-exactly-impartial opinion one of the country's most underrated outfits. Guitarist Michael Weiley passed away a couple of days ago so the Spies have been on high rotation all weekend. Must say I was pretty bummed, I met Mike a few times when a band I was in did a few gigs with a recent Spies lineup. Incredibly talented musician and a lovely fella. Live the Spies in their heyday were a sight and sound to behold and I was (errr, am....) absolutely obsessed with drummer Cliff Grigg's style. Another good one gone, thanks for the memories Mike!

The good old days...where you could buy a ticket at the gate! One of my school friends couldn't make it so we tried to sell his to key for him outside, couldn't even move it for a discount! RATM was a wild show, did you pass out before Zac's massive stage dive? After Porno for Pyros we hit the boiler room for the prodigy...that was fucking awesome.

Los Chicos, from Spain, they were sensational. The less said about the second band the better; the singer and the guitarist (in red) were two of the most annoying turds I've seen onstage in a long while.

I’ve seen them before at a festival and was mightily impressed,m. I had no idea they where supporting untill I got to the door, that was a pretty good surprise.
