I can't find the lyrics for this song for some bizarre reason, but the lyrics reminded me of them. Hellova song too:

 
Looked at the hottest 100 list and had to google a few. Who the hell is that rufus guy?

And why was it on the list? Made me think of Rick Beato skewering the Spotify top 10- - manufactured dance shite with autotune “vocals”. And missy higgens is just a female Paul Kelly - miserable uninteresting dross requiring poetry appreciation chairs.

I was shocked at how many really old and mainstream choons made it to be honest. Surprised no Ship Song or Cattle and Cane :( edit or (I'm) Stranded

Did you vote? If I make the assumption that you didn't vote and you don't listen to Triple J or any of it's sister stations then it would be fair to say that of course the outcome won't be representative of your music tastes.

They usually are.

I stand by my opinion that auto tune is an abomination. I try to be like Rick and find something nice to say where I can even if I don’t like it. But some people like rufus make that that difficult. I think the bit that really did it was coming across a cover he tried to do of a nirvana song… Flat out cringe.

Nope, plenty of quality music by the yoof these days. One standout in recent years was Black Country New Road - bunch of teenagers when they put their bloody excellent first album out a few years ago.
