Eagles never did the jumping around stuff, even when really rocking out; every band member is a very competent singer, so they never strayed far from their mics, to the point that multiple critics even from the early days of 1972/3 described their stage presence as "loitering". Drummer/singer Don Henley has run with that, with (paraphrased) comments along the lines of "we're not kids any more, at our age it's more dignified to just loiter on stage and play our stuff".
