Festering Hell doesn't bring out the best in acts that play there. I saw Deep Purple there a few years ago, one of three times I've seen them, performance was damn good but the sound was horrible.
Unless you are front and centre at Festy Hall the sound is generally always shit. The place does have a certain charm though for some proper hot and sweaty rock gigs. I still rate Tool's Aenima tour that I saw there as the greatest live show I've seen. Their subsequent Tennis Centre gigs have all been crap in comparison.

Their Law - Prodigy
Oh my, that was an anthem of mine back in the day. In fact, that album (MUsic for the jilted generation) is one of two Prodigy album's I'd take to a deserted island. I totally loved their first album (Experience) but shit got real with the next album then whammo, they hit us with The Fat of the Land, still the best album ever in my books. Yeah byt the way, The Prodigy have been my favorite musical group since I was giggling at girls in year six. They've held their heads high with all their albums but the gear in the nineties is all time.

Dozer, is your username inspired by ...Dozer?
More his riding technique.
Poodle knows obviously the origin of the name: It was something I earned twenty years when a few lads said I ride like a bulldozer. I'm not as pinned as I was 'back in the day' but still have a blast riding bikes.

Devin Townsend - Accelerated Evolution.

This is one of those rare albums that has an effect on you that results in the album becoming part of how you identify yourself.
Its one of only several albums I have heard in my life which has the 'black curtain'.
When an album sounds like the music exists in a space with a giant black curtain behind it.
Dark side of the moon has it, Master of Puppets has it, this album has it.

Put on some headphones and just soak it up.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Dark side and Puppets, that's quite a reference. Might have to take a look see.

Nah, sorry, couldn't get the same from that as you can. The vocals feel a little contrived and it sounds a bit too over-produced for me. Definitely has some meat on the bone but not the same level as say Puppets, Dark Side, The Real Thing, Colour and Shape, Downward Spital, etc. had to go get a dose of Aenima to scratch the itch it left me with.

It triggered a bit of memory lane for me. My musical tastes have changed quite a bit since 1995, but for humour's sake here is 2 of his different early (mid 90s) efforts:

Coming from a time where this was also cool:

And for some reason, rather than focus on a follow up album they arranged for a remix album...

What a glorious time to be alive...most of the above came to me because Metallica hosted Rage one night and the power of VHS...

Boards of Canada 'Campfire Headphase'... incredibly hard to pedal to.

Ours is not to reason why. Merely to point and giggle.
Love boards, amo bishop roden and in a beautiful place out in the country featured in my wedding ceremony.

Listening to an old classic now.

Some Monday afternoons require a liberal dose of very loud Nirvana. Crank it up.
