Ive been riding to work (havn't had time for any other kinda riding).
Went the long way to work earlier this week and someone has only bloody gone and built a pump track like three blocks from home.
Trying to change up my sleep pattern so I can hit it in the morning and become a master pumper.

Magpie season mean shuttles to me these daze. Got dropped near the top of the 1000 steps and bombed home. Ace fun, except for what could have been a nasty one, when I near OTB'd off a log over, and ended up shoulder first into a spiky stump... about three minutes after the zen photo. I've been doing log over A for a while, and thought I could manage knarlier log over B... had swagger, in my mind. Ba Bum. Fail. Two bits of blood, with one puncture, a bit deep and sore. I know if I hit it way harder than log over A, it would be fine but silents' altered risk/reward mechanism will kick in from now on for sure, and I'll be back to walking it.
Still ace to out there. Sue just laughs at me...

Rode it again around Stromlo with my out of town buddy on his e-bike. 34km and 780m of elevation in two days is a fair amount for me, but had to get in before the week of rain that's coming.
Hit a wet root and got sideways, had the heart racing, and the jokes cracking.

Bodged up a "loam shelf" cover bearing pivot cover since I mostly ride sandy/rocky trails then rode You Yangs.
Surprisingly not as busy as I expected, I think the threat of rain kept people away.
Said rain didn't eventuate. So yet to see if the cover works. Didn't get dragged off by the rear tyre so a win I guess.
