What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Not today, but on the weekend. We were camped at Yanakie.

Ace ride on the beach, and found our retirement car. A bit of a rub back, some paint and maybe new seals, should be good as new. Fairly easy to do the tappets too.

We also found an awesome trail between the two headlands. Very sandy, but ridable. No Joe Blakes either, which was good.

Goodness @ozzybmx - you certainly gave it your all.

Things moving fast as there is only a short timeframe to get this reattached before scar tissue forms and the possibility of retuning to 100% starts to slide very quickly. No private health so self funded private, Surgeon tomorrow morning for a pencilled in op next Wed.

Can't take the chance on waiting for public as the thought of waiting 3-6 weeks then ending up with 80%-70%-60% strength will fuck up a lot of good shit in my life

Good Luck @ozzybmx and @RastaRuss Trying to get it sorted out sooner than later is the best you can do. Happy healing to both of you.

I've been feeling the weight on my hands is a bit much lately, have gone as short as possible on the stem, next I'll move the seat forward a bit. Reluctant to resort to bars with rise but if that's what it takes....

Out for an early ride this morning, making it three rides this break with a rest day between. Had an awesome crash 😄 with the front wheel washing out mid berm. I should have come in higher to stay out of the ball bearing like gravel. Briefly anticipated a painful landing amongst some dead branches and a prickly bush but just before I hit the ground the back wheel gripped and ended up doing a nice skid/slide to a halt. If I hadn't been half off the bike it would have looked deliberate.
Checking out the skid marks I was impressed with the length of the front wheel slide as well as the length and width of the rear wheel slide mark. And that my feathers were not even slightly ruffled !
IXS elbow pads did their job well, I don't want to be going back to work with gravel rash or bruises
Was hard to get a good pic with all the shadows but it looked like the front wheel was washing out early on, the front slide mark stops mid corner and the back wheel took over.
I went from OH FARK to laughing in the blink of an eye

Youngest child got off the training wheels about a week ago so nearly every day is daddy / daughter ride day. We’re both absolutely loving it.

Riding her 16” at the moment but she’s claimed her brothers old 18” bmx so that’s getting repainted pink.

On-One has been reborn again with some chromo bars and cheap cable discs I had lying around. Currently single speed but I’ll probably switch back to gears so it’s more versatile.

How good are those Fairdale bars?!
Don't worry about gears, you'll get your SS legs back!

I rode my on one inbred today. So much fun! I'll probably ride it again tomorrow.
