What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

This is the most awkward trail at Creswick. It's like most of the jumps have been built backwards, mellow take off with silly steep and short landings.

The black G1 is easier to ride and flows a lot better. Out of the blue jump trails, G3 is easily the best pick.
Hmm, I normally feel like I'm taking jumps backwards so maybe this could be the trail where I finally feel at gome with some airtime! 😅

Couple of rides (not as many as I'd like)

Managed to check out Mogo - unfortunately my day slotted for a decent ride #2 son binned if first run (MoFlow) washed out the front and I had to carry him out, thankfully not broken leg but a bloody good corkie (How much fun is carrying a 75kg 6'3" manchild to a trailhead?) Did manage to get another ride there with Wife and Daughter, but we stuck to Greens. 11 Y/O did an awesome job. I did like the MoGo trails (well that ones I saw) climb trails were well built and you seem to climb more than it feels. I think I would have benefited a chat with a local first to pick some trails. Will be keen to ride them some more.

Also checked out Creswick - focused on G set of trails (assume Gravity trails) climb trail not as good at Mogo but not bad and the other I managed to do were a lot of fun - only criticism is the blue jump trail G9 doesn't seem like a blue Jump trail to me. I think after riding it a few time I'd 'get' it, I'm not great on jump trails TBH but can get through most - this one seem to require prior knowledge of it to nail and once off the track it was really hard to gain speed. I found the G3 jumps much better. Didn't check out the black jumps after that but ran the black tech which TBH is more my thing anyway, a bit of fun if not quite as techy as I'd like. Ran out of puff so only did gravity trails but keen to check out the rest as well.

Hats off to the bloke at Creswick complaining about the state of the trails and how he couldn't get grip who was also riding an old school XC bike with slicks. I wonder if one of those things had to do with the other :D
The Jump trail over in the W area, W6 is pretty awesome for flow and manageable sized jumps.

That sux @Chriso_29er hope it heals quickly..
Fractured my wrist almost a year ago. 3 months in a cast. Did my right hand (right handed). Was able to do the indoor trainer with awkward handlebar grip and did some running to keep some sort of fitness. Was on the gravel bike after 3 months from day of injury (so as soon as cast came off). Light mountain biking a few weeks later, then back to normal mountain biking at around 5 months. I am only a XC hack so no big jumps or crazy downhill.
Being at almost a year on, would say it is probably is good as it is going to get. After a few hours riding, it can be a little sore/stiff but is ok the next day. Still a little weary when it comes to the rough stuff, especially when I forget to unlock my fork:p

As Ozzy said, us oldies don't bounce back like we used too!

Yep, had actually just swapped it back on from an Assegai.
But not the tyres fault, no tyre was going to save my stuff up.
Just found out this afternoon I have broken my hand, so no biking for a little bit :(
Ah, that sucks! Maybe some Zwifting to keep the legs going. Hope it heals ok. 🤞

Bugger, I hope you recover fully and quickly!

I've had a couple of near wipe outs with the DHF up front - seriously considering swapping with the DHR II..

If you want more grip up front go the Assegai if you're sticking with Maxxis. The Magic Mary and the Vittoria Martello are better again.

I had the MM up front but I didn't like it as much on my trails. I had the DHR II on the front when I bought my bike and I liked it, I might go MaxxGrip next time though.

Why does a gigolo like the poods needs the 'stranger'? I thought that was for incels and middle aged dads.

Perhaps there is a few quiet days for the poods? Will let him answer that one. ;)

@pink poodle will be here soon to tell him all about the stranger……

I once gave a woman the stranger. Let's just say it was a challenge I wouldn't have chosen, but all my weight was on that hand for so long it went to sleep! Needless to say the move is a winner as you have to concentrate much harder on what you're doing.

I've had an unbelievable run of great weather since I built the Banshee in October, where after each ride was just an easy wipe down of the moving parts.

During the week I finally had to gave it its first proper wash.

Then on the weekend I had a big stack in a dustbowl of a trail, just before running into @Asininedrivel .

The bike is no longer clean :D
