Anchors is a fun way to finish Tathra, but the best thing is knowing you are less than 10 minutes from beer o’clock.

After the 2 flat tyres i got riding to work on Tuesday, my week of failures continues:
Went for a gravel ride with the local triathlon club last night and just as we actually got to the gravel I tried to pedal too hard in too high of a gear and snapped the chain.
Scooted back to the car and slapped the spare chain on, then pedaled out by myself and caught the team on the way back Still got 14k's in

Spoke with Police. They found him CCTV and confirmed my description of the vehicle, but could not make out the number plate.

So no further action.

WTAF!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????? I cannot adequately describe just how angry I am right now. They said they cant look up the regos of all the diesel Ford Territorys in that colour as "thats not our procedure". There will not be more than a few, but its all too hard...

Formal complaint and/or ombudsman the next step. Fucking outrageous.

look up how many cars of that description are registered in hobart, filter out the non caucasian/elderly owners and be left with a few tops. show me the licence photos of those owners and ill tell them which one. go visits and find the marks/dent from my bike on the back. Not exactly sherlock holmes material ffs.

That's bull shit. Surely among said vehicles only a few will have obvious marks from a recent collision with a bicycle? If you were on foot at the time they'd be our scouring the state.

That's what i said. TLDR - just a cyclist, who cares.

Its a diesel Ford Territory - most of those shitboxes of died of terminal injector failure by now, would be dead easy to find. Trying to tell me the Police dont have access to car registration databases is fucked - not sure why thought I'd believe that...

Was a top morning for it!
I was planning to get the Honzo out after swapping on a new front tyre, but I couldn’t get the damn thing to seat and all 3 tubes I had were split…
 
No riding for me, hand still hurts like a MF... Back to the GP tomorrow for a specialist referral, something is wrong. Not surprising given how hard it was hit.

Cracking weather for it this weekend too...

Also removed the fork from the roadie for it to go off to be scanned.
