What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Had a little adventure - was A bit wet for the camels ……
But if you ever go and don’t have a bike , rent one and ride around the base - best way to unwind and feel the energy of a magical place

Me too… :( I’ll do what I can. Formal complaint, then it will be to the ombudsman. And my local member write to the police minister, will get my council councillor to do the same. Maybe see if I can get the media to bite…

Spent the night obsessively reading up on TFCC injuries and treatments and what can go wrong. It’s not amazing… It “should” be ok long term, but very real chance of a permanent injury/loss of function here. And even best case I won’t be back on the bike for months.
 
Pretty fucked outcome all this, as a local it definitely makes me think twice about my commuting. I'd definitely be going the media angle, with the Collins St bike lane issue being pretty fresh I reckon there's mileage to be had.
 
Absolute disgrace with the effort police are willing to put into this situation @Haakon
Yet these pricks do everything in their power to catch, put in the face of the media and put the full force of the law into the guy who did some bird graffiti around Melb.....priorities
Heal up quickly.

Am meeting a Hobart councilor this morning - he had a friend of his knocked off their bike by a car on Collins St (!!) and he has also been shocked by the police basically shrugging their shoulders. Even on the high profile street they don't care...

Would be happy to just get a name so i can go after him legally for a new bike. And just a bit of basic justice - a pretty low bar id have thought! Clearly I am woefully naive.

I got this story wrong - he and his friend were out running and crossing the street on a green man - and a car accelerated at his friend and kept accelerating as she was clinging to the bonnet!!

A minor traffic fine was issued. The end. And she had to keep calling police ever for an update...
