What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

San Sebastion one of my favourite cities in Europe. Wonderful joint. More importantly @Jpez how was the surf looking?

Oh yeah the Pintxos 😍😍
Yeah pretty nice! Touristy but not overcooked. Food is ridiculously good. But WTF?!?? Do the Spanish not eat vegetables? Protein and bread. That’s it. Maybe the occasional bit of marinated pepper or something. Should have brought some Metamucil with me. 😆
Surfs up atm. Surfers with boards about, a few kite surfers.
Looks very,

Moist!
Oh yeah very! Once I worked out the grip levels it was fine. Had one oh shit moment but the front hooked back up again and I was alright.
I’d lost a glove in Andorra so was raw dogging it so soaking wet bare hands on grips is not my favourite thing but luckily the shagged out grips were sticky.

As luck would have it, a CoD was on!

Got bored (haven't ridden in 3-4 weeks).

Saw this....

Made this, and fitted it.

There is no way in hell (or heaven) that I will feel any difference at all.

But when cranking the preload collar/nut around, the coil does not want to spin with it.
So that's a win
If you want to be really kewl, make another one and install them on top of each other and you'll eliminate coil bind. Don't forget your Kool aid.

Yep (although it was a pipe fitting dragged into a bench grinder wire wheel and fired out at my thumb).

It's been growing out for a while 😂
I haven't given myself a black fingernail for quite sometime but they aren't fun that's for sure. I've had a couple where I have had to burn a red hot piece of wire through the nail to release the pressure and stop the throbbing.

Get the pointy bit of a needle and twist it between your thumb and forefinger. It drills through quite easily and doesn't hurt, they are so sharp they drill through with virtually no pressure.

May I present to you - The future of gravel bikes.

...or a wonderfully light XC bike fitted with gravel tyres. 😂

Need to acquire a Shimano 160-180mm post-mount adaptor, as the Hope offset style won't clear inside the curved seatstays. Then once the rear brake is installed it'll be ride time again.

Lol, someone "groomed" our track for the recently completed 3 hour race.

Those tyres would have worked quite well for me 🤣

Ha, yeah. They were surprisingly decent on the Highball on the loop between Shepp and Mooroopna but my spine didn't enjoy the fully rigid riding experience. The aim here is same build kit with the option of suspension so the roots and braking bumps don't shake me to pieces.

Thank you all.

A pedal is always good for the soul and bonus health as long as you don't hit that tree.
Sorry to hear about your Mum, yes, we all get older. One or two more of us looking after a Parent and we could have a Sub-Forum. :D
Echoing what @Labcanary said, keep riding, especially short and sweet loops on mellow trails. I have really let the riding time slip. No good comes of that, trust me. That being said, I have put the rock-featured Youies type rides to one side, for sure. I've had a few nasty offs there. mostly bike paths for now.
