What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Sorry to hear about your Mum, yes, we all get older. One or two more of us looking after a Parent and we could have a Sub-Forum. :D
Echoing what @Labcanary said, keep riding, especially short and sweet loops on mellow trails. I have really let the riding time slip. No good comes of that, trust me. That being said, I have put the rock-featured Youies type rides to one side, for sure. I've had a few nasty offs there. mostly bike paths for now.

Thanks @ForkinGreat Most appreciated. I will attempt to sneak out when possible so brace yourself for my same-same shots  Any ride next surrounded by trees and dirt is a good ride and I'm not too fussy these days. Sure, sometimes I really do want some chunk but it is what it is........She is still in the hospital and seems quite good and they don't seem to be in any rush.

The first ride back after a break is always pretty rusty and slow for me but my mojo comes back after a few kms. Just going to ride without any goals, digital goal setting leashes or expectations are more fun.

You know I'm always here for your 'bike leaning on things' and 'bike laying on foreground' pictorial series updates. :)

All the best with your Ma. I'm dreading when my oldies hit that age.

Well, I'm glad you asked @beeb .

As I don't like to disappoint and have been having a big ol' slurp of the CoD fire hose lately.

Without further ado from this morning's blat.

All the best for you and your mum. I went through it with my dad. Those were interesting times.Had some surprises when I got back home to see what he had been up to while I was out for the day.

I'm tipping you must've been going up the hill at that point, or it would've been nothing but the glorious buzz of a freehub and no time for a picture if going the other way! :p

First post in a while. Life very much getting in the way
My bike has been hung up in the garage since April with number 4 here, but I managed to get out for literally an hour to ride from mine along the road then some bush bashing to the beach and then back for a coffee.
Amazing how much it cleared my head.

Welcome back mate.

Hoping to have mine finished this weekend and am definitely looking forward to that zen 'going for a spin' feel after some challenging recent weeks at work.

Thanks very much @bigdamo It will be a bit of change but will see how it goes. I am optimistic that she will improve a bit but ultimately it gets harder as they get older.

There is also a big box Dunlop bike on a Minoura trainer in the garage which will probably be the consolation prize.

Welcome back and congrats on #4.

A solo bike ride a day definitely puts a bloke in a better place.

I have tried and climbing that hill beats me every time. Down it is, which it the rightful way to do it but I need those brakes too.

Just at Bruce Ridge, just as you finish the Belco Switchbacks.

Beer ("beer") was alcohol-free as have been enjoying some time off the sauce.
I was wondering if it was the Ridge. We should go for a cruise again some day - I think we actually live relatively close to each other, right? (BR is my local).

Cycle commute to work, this shot is around Putney somewhere.

Are you riding all the way from your place into town?
