Rounded up the first batch of bikes to take to mum and dad's early tomorrow morning in preparation for telling the wife it's all over, I'm leaving her.

All the best mate. I have gone through a separation, (and a reconciliation too) so am aware of how far you have to be pushed to make such a decision.

And here's a hot tip. For a marathon course where the majority of the course is firetrail, a monstercross bike is king. I beat a lot of people I shouldn't have beaten who were on duallies.

Was a cracking Autumn morning. Easily my favourite time of year, if a little too warm at the moment.

Felt lazy so rode some fire trail, single Angophora in the burnt bush seemed unscathed.

Wasn't really in the mood but had time to kill. By the time I came back I was in a much better headspace.

Riding is amazing for cleanin out the noggin. It’s been one of the few things keeping me sane atm.

Dogs are also good. Took her out for a pedal aswell today, worked a treat.

I have been annoyed for 18 months how far my dropper would go into the frame. Always hit a solid resistance point with a solid clunk. Got the shits and had another look down the frame with a torch and there was a little lump of resin/carbon stopping it way before any other resistance point. In the end slammed the post in angry style and it broke through so now I can not only run it a bit lower to suit steeper stuff.... I can start shopping for a 150mm dropper.
