What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

indica

Serial flasher
Dropped it off and picked it up.
SLX chain, shifter, derailleur, XT 11 ring cassette with a mother flipping HUGE what ever it was (46?) and whatever the chain ring is.
Drive home and the park is on fire, some dumb chunt has ridden around the closed sign and QParks have closed the whole park.

I rode the newer trails at Kelcey Tier.
Had the tunes playing in my helmet and my mate Pat Malone with me.
Had a good ride - cleared a decent sized double on Rigur Mortis for the first time.

But the Guide brakes tested my patience. So bloody average.

Hmm....
Quadiems?
Hope E4's?
... Or possibly Hayes Dominions?

I could go on a diet & learn to get off the brakes more... But where's the fun in that.

Definitely Quadiems. Absolutely reliable with oodles of power and a very nice lever feel. This is coming from a Shimano fanboi.

Fixed. Comes with a bigger piston for moar powah, why bother with E4’s?
Hope setup is a wee bit tricky and the bedding in process is long (matching floating rotors are a must). I like mine.

Formula Cura 4's? A good whack more power than Hope E4, with similarly excellent modulation (with sintered pads). Organic pads were like a light switch though, way too aggro for me...

I find i have tonnes of modulation with the organics on my Cura 4s.

Do you miss a bite point adjuster?
Is the lever throw long?

I liked my Shimanos on previous bike for their reliability and power.
But the Guides have given me a taste for modulation....

Is it Eighty One Chillies the only game in town?
Any online deals? (Ze Sherman's?)

I weighed it. :eek::eek::eek::eek:

355187

That's full riding weight with accessories fitted. So on top of/different to stock it's;

Assegai DH
Assegai Exo+
Cushcore
OneUp EDC
Saint SPDs
RevGrips
Mutherload strap with tube, C02 and Dynaplug
Wire bottle cage
Mud guard
+ Cura4s instead of Code Rs (but i think they're actually lighter)

Ignorance is bliss. Did you have the fron wheel on the ground though? Not accurate otherwise.

Something isn't right there.

haha Maybe it is! I need another scale's 2nd opinion. Although i weighed a jar on some kitchen scales and it was the same as the bike scale. Actually the bike scale read a little under.
