I made pogies to keep the toddler's hands warm when he rides on my bike.
Tested them out this arvo while the temperature was a balmy 6 degrees, with a "feels like" temp of 2 degrees. We'll do a proper test tomorrow morning with our usual loop.

Took 3hrs to install a wolftooth -1 degree angleset.

Spent approximately 2hrs of that agonising over whether I got the cups straight or not

New / warranty replacement rim (that turned into a completely new wheelset) arrived today and started transferring bits over.

The old rear wheel is single speed and has the lock ring screws into the top of the freehub body, I hadn't seen that before... So of course that doesn't transfer straight over to the new rear wheel which is a Hope Pro 4 single speed, with a regular cassette lock ring.

Hunt through some boxes and find a new Ztto one that I'd thrown in an Ali order somewhere along the line. That screws in 1.5 turns and won't move without a heap more force. Bin time... Stole an XT one from a mates wheel I have here, and all good.

Anyway, changes to come include the new wheels, Continental Der Baron & Kaiser combo, TRP DH Evo brakes and rotors and make it sparkly and clean for when I can ride it again in a few weeks.
