What do your kids ride?

Is it true kids bikes are really heavy like heavyer than adult MtB.

I don't know about the high end stuff but even Norco and Giant are pretty heavy for the size. But I suppose you have to understand that a kids bike would have all the adult sized components like drivetrain, brakes, hubs, seat etc. and just a small amount of saving in the frame and wheels. They really shouldn't be heavier though.
