What does your day look like?

Yeah, but did it work?
Haven't had a chance to ride it in anger yet, just a bounce around the yard.

Has resulted in approx. 154mm of exposed stanchion (150mm C1 airshaft), this is even with a few mm's of "suck down" like the B1 airspring had.

The C1 has a mechanical topout with the original bumper it used to stop pretty much at 150mm.

The fork definitely needs less force to get it moving into its travel.

Hmmmm, how very interesting. I'll be doing a service on mine next week. Hmmmmm

Have been in Hobart not even 24 hours and the only two people we've met so far have been APS employees. So much for escaping the public service!
I remember fondly when staff were given the option to go to remote sites that included Qld and Tas a few years ago, I know a few took the move package and then retired in Tassie and the rest went as IT workers and ended up as call centre or IT support for Child Support.....

I am interested to see what happens with the next government and whether the work from home for developers/grunt is the normal routine to get bums out of offices, severe some expensive leases and those who run projects/BAU back to bums on seats in the office.

You could just cut the original bumper by a 1/3rd which would be similar to the one I made up. Just be aware the ports for the hollow shaft may get blocked slightly by the bumper (I think that is why the original bumpers are not totally flat at the tapered ends). I drilled the plastic piston just above the skirt to alleviate this possible issue.

Asked to put in some extra hours at work moving stuff. No worries...and here is something my mature brain found funny:

Oh to be hung like this fine city's once proud erect penis tower!

And now for dinner. The local Chinese restaurant has a warning to all vegans!

Compressor at work needs a service as it's passing a fair bit of oil into the storage tank (at least it won't rust out :p).

Ask the apprentice to check the oil and top it up this morning. Which he did, but then proceeded to forget to close the drain valve on the tank before turning on the compressor and walking away.

Very black... keep a good eye on the oil level

He’s just getting one step ahead of when you ask him to empty the oil out of the bucket. ;)

Umm yeah...looks like your oil pump is getting a bit of air blow-by!

I still recall finding a direct drive pos compressor in a plant room that had failed. Regret not getting photos.

Pressure sense line from tank check valve back to motor control switch had broke. So tank never built pressure. Pump ran till it was dry. Rod friction welded to the crank and was bent like a banana.
