What does your day look like?

Wear your sunscreen mkay kids.
No need for sad face emojis, wasn’t the super nasty one that starts with M but still nasty enough to need it cut out.
Spent years on building sites where OHS was a dirty word. I’ve learnt my lesson.

BCC I assume?

I've had about 4 cut out. Got a full body check coming up in a couple of weeks.

Much rain for us here though. 100% chance of 10-35mm in Perth on Saturday and 95% of 3-10mm on Sunday.

City full of sinners.

Yesterday - I commemorated the demise of an inspirational Australian and consumed a succulent Chinese while contemplating if this was indeed democracy manifest. I took a photo but can't load it to the site. I then spent 10 hours at work hoping to not require my judo skills.

Now the thing about being flat out for 10 hours of work is that by the time you finish (11pm) it turns out a lot has happened in th le world around you. My phone was full of messages from people who know I work nights but dont understand I work nights. I'm not answering that shit at midnight...instead trawl the forum, watch some goats, sleep about 230am. Then those same people who know I work nights and sleep til 10 or 11 if my neighbour isnt renovating or leaf blowing start messaging and calling because they didn't get a response. Which turns today into a frantic day of just fuck off and let me rest. I do like the idea of the airplane mode, but usually drift off to zzzzzzzz paradise to the seductive tones of Bob Ross.

...and of course it didn't rain all day or night until it was time to leave work and meet with one of those message senders who really needs a bit of poodle time but has been drinking since 3 and now I am wet and sitting in a bar waiting for the rain to ease up so I can go home because they friend who is having a shit time (really really really is) had to go home because he is fucking cooked.

Meanwhile I am back to work at lunch time and fuck id like to get some food.

Did a 'Introduction to Glassblowing' course this morning. I expected it to appeal to me on a technical level, but it was really fun as well. We made a paperweight and a tumbler (each). This is my tumbler sitting upside down getting its final tidy up after being broken off the 'punty' before going into the annealing oven. Went with a fire-coloured theme, so at this point I can't tell if that's what it'll look like once it's cooled or if it's still glowing from the furnace! 😂

They have to cool down in the annealing oven (only overnight for a smaller piece like this), but I'll have to wait a bit longer yet to see it as I need to get it posted to me.

When did you get this up and running? Last I remember seeing was some manky looking fork oil... o_O
Probably got it up and running 3-4 weeks ago.

Have already had it out on the plantation side. 'twas fairly terrifying as the brake pads had gone hard. Got some freshies on it now and the v-brakes are as good as they are going to be :p

Thinking about purchasing some PNW range bars for the Smuggler and I'll put the spoon bars on this as the stack is stupid low.
