...he walked away. I was impressed by the marshalls. Getting to the car quickly and yes some were just there, stopping the driver removing his helmet and hans device until medical staff arrived and then mapping out the crash to look at the chicane layout. Actually if you look at the marshall station behind the mini you can see one on the radio calling for the medics before the mini stopped rolling.
The chicanes are not very effective for the minis, cortinas, escorts etc because of their size and mobility. I was one of a number who put the wreck on the trailer a little later. A quick look suggests a new tyre, hub, shock, rack and tierods and the mini will be back on the track. Perhaps some panel beating too.
