Whinging Pom alert!

All Nightmare Long

Cannon Fodder
Hey everybody I've just signed up here before my big move over to Oz. from England, so just thought I'd say g'day, and just ask for a bit adice on places to ride in the Melbourne area, I'll initially living in Mornington then moving to somewhere like Healesville or Yarra Glen .

I've durrently got a Glory DHO and a Reign so I'm into DH racing and riding as well as 'All mountain' type riding, what do you guys reckon would suit?

I'm moving over the 1st week of December and should have bike a week after that!

Thanks in advance

Have a look at mtbvictoria.com, a site for us Victorians, get to know some locals and places to ride.
I myself would recommend the You Yangs which are near Geelong, check out their site - http://www.youyangsmtbinc.com.au/

Down on the Morninton peninsular there's Eaton's cutting, have a look in the Victoria section for the thread on there and up near Healsville is Long Gully, it was burnt it the fires but it is getting re-build, if you move down there but sure to visit Yarra Valley Cycles in Lilydale, they'll give you some more info on tracks round there.
Hoped that helped :)

Thanks fella, I went into Yarra Valley Cycles last time I was over, good bunch of guys, It'll be one of my first ports of call when I get back over. I'll look at the webby fo the You Yangs too.

Muchos Gracias

Waht's the racing scene like over there? I raced every national and loads of regional events over here for 7 years until this year, been too busy sorting stuff for the move so only managed 3 races. But I'm quite keen to get back into it

Thanks again for your Help!

Hey mate,

I live in Safety beach which is about 10k down the peninsula from Mornington.

There's a downhill track in redhill which is really good. PM me once you're over and I'll show you where it is
