Keep in mind that you DO still need to put in effort because if you end up muffing your HSC exams up they can deny the "guaranteed" entry.

What's everyone looking at doing next year, now we're a little closer to the end. I know my dreams/ideas changed with a sharp dose of reality, but for the good I think.

I submitted both digital media and graphic design portfolios for Wollongong, hoping they're impressive enough for entry into the courses, as an atar isn't needed for both courses that I want to complete.

Everyone else?

Definitely not looking forward to english, and extension 2 maths. The others are alright.
LOL I'm not looking forward to extension 2 either grrrr. Just make sure you've done past papers and can get close 100% for the first 4 questions. Question 7 and 8 are obviously hard, but if you can pick up 10 or more marks in those two questions, you are doing exceptionally great!

Some of the answers to the past HSC extension 2 aren't on the BOS website, but you can find them here: http://www.hsccoaching.com/documents/35.html

Goodluck!

Law - hopefully at USD, UNSW, or UTS.

Failing that, a diploma in law through the LPAB, and something like an arts degree on the side

All the fun stuff

  • Specialist Maths
  • Maths Methods
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • English
Not quite sure what I want to do uni wise yet. If my enter permits I'd like to do medicine, other than that it's looking like some form of engineering or Physio/sports science.

Cannot wait for year 12 to be over!
Oh wow, This year has acctually been amazing. The things I've learnt about myself and my own capabilities is astounding. Back then, Medicine was a distant dream, not it's very much a realistic outcome.

thought I'd share my results, I'm very happy with them! sacrificed quite a bit of riding time to get these...

Specialist Maths
34 (41.70)
Maths Methods 40 (45.14)
English 43 (42.87)
Chemistry 42 (45.88)
Physics 45 (47.07)
Biology 42 (43.23)

ATAR
98.65

Current goal is to study medicine at James cook University (I want to work Rural!). Failing that, Biomedicine at Melbourne University is quite enticing. from there I'll try for graduate medicine and failing that, enter the doctor of physiotherapy course at Melbourne uni (I've got a guaranteed spot with a couple of conditions.)

I hope everyone else is as excited about there result as I am!

How'd the Queenslanders go?

I'm pretty happy, managed to get a 3 by doing sweet fuck all this year, doing Maths B, Maths C, Physics, Chemistry, English and Geography (dropped) helped cause the classes were so well weighted. My friends who got 2's would have stabbed me if I did any better cause they put in.. well the amount of work that you're supposed to put into Year 12. So this keeps everybody happy :)

Bachelor of engineering at Wollongong. Thanks to early entry (although with my ATAR I would have been offered Wollongong anyway).
Ended up with an atar of 86.35 which I'm pretty happy with considering how much work I did (not much..).

Move up there in two weeks. Anyone else heading to the Gong? Keen to meet up with some riders :)

I got into Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) at the University of Ballarat. I wasn't too keen on going to uni and was pretty set on a gap year, however, after getting my offer, I have been quite excited.

I got my first preference, which was Industrial Design at Swinburne Uni. Very happy with that.

And also, my VCD unit 4 work got shortlisted for Top Design (Which in Victoria is an exhibition that 150 students in the state get shortlisted for and 50 get selected for the final exhibition), though I didn't get into the final exhibition. And same for my Studio Art work, got 4 pieces shortlisted, and one of which made it though to the final exhibition in the National Gallery of Victoria in late march. So I'm over the moon with that.

Good job. Is that your riding photos? I may have to go have a look at Top Arts this year.

Bachelor of Biomedicine at the university of Melbourne. Super excited as I only placed it on my preferences as a 'dream' course, I never really expected to get in!

I've got Academic advice day tomorrow and I don't know a great deal about whats going on, I mean, I'm pretty organized:p
