Thought I would post this here as it made me laugh.

Went to the recent BMX national round to spectate. As I was walking through the pits I noticed a new brand of frame and the proud owner showing it to his officianado friend. You know the type, the mate that knows it all.

The "Expert" friend yanks the bike away, proceeds to do some strange flex test and then declares with a knowing look:

"Looks good. No flex. Nice, very straight welds. Is it the carbon one?"

I audibly choked on my own laugh... And promptly waited for the second dumbest thing I will hear this week.

As much as I know where you're coming from (and I probably would have reacted in a similar manner); I used to own a Diamond Back WCF (Welded Carbon Fibre) 6.0. True story! :target:
