DH Zerode G1 RIP

I went back to the drawing board after I found the single missing roller bearing (it was doing my head in). So now the bearing cage is a near replica of the stock original.

Put it all back together and took it for a test run with my sister and her bf.

It's been holding up pretty well since then (only one or two clunks which is normal anyway). I should probably take it apart on a more regular basis but considering I was going to huck the whole thing for a new hub.. I think it's been a pretty good outcome.

I've also shared the 3D model on thingiverse incase someone else needs one. I think I might update the hack thread :ranger:

Dang... How much was the printer?
The printer's worth about $1500 but you can buy the smaller version for about $500. If you want something printed as a once off I'd be happy to do it for you :)

Here's some pics from the Youies March shuttle last weekend:

Saw u at YY Shuttle day last weekend; now I know your bike I'll come say hi next time ;)

That 3D Printing job is the best hack ever!

Why more bikes don't run gearboxes I don't know. Seems indestructible.
